Cookie Scanning
Cookie Scanning
When you add a domain to Cookie Wow, the system will automatically begin scanning cookies used on your website. The results of that scan will appear on the “Cookie Scanner” page on your Cookie Wow dashboard.
How it works: Cookie Wow uses a Cookie Crawler to detect cookies and scripts present on your domain. However, please note that in some cases, not all cookies may be detected due to factors outside our control, such as delayed cookie execution.
We recommend manually reviewing the list and adding any missing cookies yourself via the Manage Cookies section.
You can perform additional scans at any time by following these steps:
In the dashboard, go to the Cookie Scanner menu and click “Scan Cookies”

Specify the number of URLs you want to scan

Your scanning limit per day depends on your subscription plan:

Note: The quota is per account per day across all domains. For example, with a Medium package (10,000 URL scans/day) — if you scan 10 URLs on Domain A, you still have 9,990 URL scans remaining that day for Domain A or B. The quota resets the next day.
To exclude or target specific URLs, click the “Advanced Settings”

Input the URLs you want to exclude or specifically include in the scan

Click “Scan Cookies” and wait for it to complete.
Scan Results Will Include:
Name: The identifier of the cookie
Domain: The domain where the cookie is active
Type: Whether it’s a script or a cookie
Cookie Duration: How long the cookie persists
Category: Some categories will be auto-assigned based on common recognition. You can view examples of auto-categorized cookies here.
To see all scanned URLs, check the “Scanned URLs” list under the Scan Cookies button.
Once scanning is complete, the next recommended step is to review and categorize any uncategorized cookies. Learn how to categorize cookies here.
